Membership Benefits & Fees

Membership Benefits & Fees

NRVC has an annual membership of over 900 women and men representing over 265 religious institutes, organizations, and dioceses, in 24 countries, most of whom are vocation ministers for religious congregations.

Benefits of membership:
Essential for all religious institutes

  • Publications: an annual subscription to the highly respected HORIZON quarterly journal, the only English-language professional vocation journal in the Church; Focus on Vocation Ministry, an online monthly newsletter; Catalyst Blog, a mid-month members-only update, and other updates.
  • Special rates on NRVC programs, publications, and resources for professional growth, continuing education, and formation in vocation ministry. Non-member rates are 50% higher than member rates.
  • Members-only website access. Member login allows access to the complete Vocation Director’s Manual, HORIZON archives, sample forms, Member Area Minutes, Member directory, and many other essential resources.
  • Grant eligibility for the National Fund for Catholic Religious Vocations (NFCRV.org) to help defray the costs of accepting a candidate with educational debt, and for the NRVC Misericordia Scholarship Fund for financial assistance with registration, workshop, and Convocation fees.
  • Professional support network regionally, nationally, and internationally committed to vocation ministry including access to any Member Area meetings and Minutes, inclusion in the online member directory, and other networking opportunities.
  • Publicity for your religious institute highlighted on the NRVC website, and on the NRVC Facebook page on your congregational feast day.
  • VISION Vocation Network, the most comprehensive vocation discernment guide in print and online, including VISION Vocation Guide, VocationNetwork.org and VocationMatch.com. Advertisers are recognized in the print and online versions of VISION Vocation Guide.
  • Consultation about vocation ministry is available by calling or emailing the National Office team for help, suggestions, and support. (On-site consultations and presentations for religious institutes are available for an additional rate.)
  • Advocacy for vocations to religious life with the USCCB, the religious leadership conferences, the Catholic press, and media, other national and international Catholic organizations, and vocation conferences.
  • Engaged participation in NRVC as a voting member with eligibility for National Board and Member Area leadership.

Your spiritual, professional, and personal growth is essential as you promote vocations to religious life, accompany discerners and assess candidates for admission. Belonging to our national organization is one way to stay connected, enhance education, prevent burnout, and share best practices in vocation ministry.
