About NRVC Collaboration with NFCYM
NRVC has been a formal national collaborator with the National Federation for Catholic Youth Ministry (NFCYM) since 2005. This collaboration addressed the NRVC Goal #5: The National Religious Vocation Conference fosters dialogue on vocational issues with a variety of church organizations with special emphasis on those who serve young adults and parents.
Numerous NRVC members participate in the National Conference on Catholic Youth Ministry (NCCYM) biennial conference for adults who minister with youth. The next NCCYM conference will be held in December 2020 in New Orleans.
Many NRVC members participate in the National Catholic Youth Conference (NCYC) biennial conference. This conference is the single largest gathering of youth in the United States, with over 23,000 teens, youth ministers, and parental chaperones. The next NCYC will be held November 21-23, 2019 in Indianapolis, IN. More information is here.
Since 2013, NRVC has organized vocation teams to promote vocations to religious life at NCYC. In 2019 NRVC invites you to be part of this celebration of Catholic faith to be promote vocations to religious life. In order to broaden the invitation, NRVC is sponsoring a gathering space to meet participants and promote vocations to religious life called Inspiration Nook, near the thematic village. All NRVC member participants will receive a ribbon for your name tag giving you access to Inspiration Nook as your schedule allows throughout NCYC.
In 2012, NRVC selected NFCYM as the recipient of the prestigious Harvest Award for its collaborative efforts to promote a culture of vocations among teens.
