Navigating Uncertainty with Young People through Accompaniment
Navigating Uncertainty with Young People through Accompaniment
The past 18 months have ushered in an era of massive uncertainty in the lives of young people. Now more than ever they need trusted adults to help them understand how they can make sense out what just happened to them and the world they now find themselves in. From religious participation to finding meaning at work, young people are calling out for guides to help them in very particular ways. In this presentation Dr. Packard draws on over 20,000 surveys with young people and more than 200 interviews to identify exactly what adults can do to gain trust and influence in the lives of the young people they work with.
