Intercultural Assessment workshop to be offered in 3 locations
The NRVC is offering the workshop "Candidate Assessment Through the Lens of Interculturality," by Crystal Taylor-Dietz, Psy.D. from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m in the following locations:
June 13, Huntingdon Valley, PA
September , San Antonio, TX
October 18, Frankfort, IL
The workshop will explore how to assess candidates who come from a different culture, taking into account distinct norms and expressions, possible trauma, etc. One focus will be on how to respectfully gather information without stereotyping, generalizing, or minimizing behaviors of concern. The workshop will also explore possible blind spots and biases that can creep into assessment. Registration is open now for the June workshop and will open later in the year for the September and October dates.
Thanks to a grant from the Conrad N. Hilton Foundation, this workshop is available to NRVC members and their community members for only $25. Learn more about the workshop here.

World Day of Prayer for Vocations May 11
May 11, Good Shepherd Sunday, will be the World Day of Prayer for Vocations. This commemoration is an opportunity to pray for and promote vocations to consecrated and ordained life. Consider marking the day with an online or in-person prayer service, social media posts, vocational prayers during your liturgies, presentations at Masses, bulletin inserts, etc.
The NRVC has developed a downloadable prayer intentions resource that communities can adapt (in Spanish here). Pope Francis has released a message for the occasion, which he ties to the Jubilee, calling it "Pilgrims of Hope: The Gift of Life." Find further details, resources, and ideas here.
