2021 Fall Institute

2021 Fall Institute

Registration Now Open

This year, NRVC is offering four workshops at the Fall Institute in October intended for vocation ministers and others entrusted with the assessment of discerners and candidates. Workshops are designed from the NRVC three-component curriculum for those who wish to deepen their understanding of the complex theological, spiritual, psycho-sexual, ethical, and diversity issues often present in contemporary vocation ministry. Learning together, whether in person or online is important for vocation ministry to be ethical, credible, and relevant.

Our biennial Fall Institute will offer three workshops at the Mercy Conference and Retreat Center in St. Louis, MO, October 5-17, 2021. In addition, there is a one-day virtual workshop offered on October 19, 2021. Choose to attend one or several workshops. Mercy Conference and Retreat Center is a sponsored ministry of the Sisters of Mercy of the Americas. It is accessible from the Saint Louis Lambert International Airport (STL). Transportation to and from the airport is available through taxis, Uber, Lyft, or make a shuttle reservation at https://www.flystl.com/parking-and-transport/transportation. You can also take advantage of free parking in the West Lot if you rent a car or drive to St. Louis.

All Fall Institute workshops include overnight accommodations at the Mercy Conference and Retreat Center. Enjoy the convenience of having a private bedroom and bathroom, along with linen service, wi-fi, meals and breaks. Because of COVID restrictions, the Fall Institute workshops are limited to 23 participants and cannot accommodate commuters.

ALL participants must be fully vaccinated and abide by all safety protocols set by the venue. There are no exceptions. Please do not call the Mercy Conference and Retreat Center for reservations as we are in a contract for blocked rooms. Your workshop fees include overnight accommodations.

Reservations are contracted for arrivals after 3:00 p.m. the day before the workshop begins and check-out is by 9:00 a.m. the day after the workshop ends. This means you are responsible for the full payment of the room reservation, regardless of your arrival and departure date. Unfortunately, room reservations cannot be made for earlier arrivals or later departures. You can store your luggage in the lounge if you are not ready to leave by 9:00 a.m. on the day of your departure, however you must vacate your room to allow the staff to clean your room for the next arrival on the same day. If you are staying for the next workshop, you will not need to check out or pay any additional fees.
