NRVC Services
The National Religious Vocation Conference serves its members and the Church in many ways:
- provides opportunity for professional growth and personal support of vocation ministers
- publishes for its members a quarterly professional journal, HORIZON, and aprovides monthly news, features, and updates online
- makes available to the U.S. Church the collective experience of religious vocation ministers and shares Church issues with its members
- facilitates regional and national meetings for its members
- provides opportunities for initial and ongoing training through workshops, seminars, conferences, days of prayers
- publishes materials focused on religious life for a wide variety of audiences: vocation ministers, potential candidates in discernment, Church leaders, religious community members, formation personnel, and others supportive of vocation ministry
- creates opportunities for research, study, and exchange on issues of current concern, e.g., culturally diverse candidates, missionary activities, justice issues
- serves as a national clearinghouse for information on various aspects of vocations to religious life
- relates to the Conference of Major Superiors of Men, the Leadership Conference Women Religious, the Conference of Major Superiors of Women Religious, the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops, the National Conference of Diocesan Vocation Directors, the Religious Formation Conference, the Catholic Campus Ministry Association, the National Association of Diocesan Directors of Campus Ministry, the National Catholic Young Adult Association, SERRA, the Religious Brothers Conference
- is a partner in the National Coalition for Church Vocations
